[WheelWatcher] new WC-132 firmware?

Hello,
I purchased a WC-132 recently under the impression that it could read quadrature
encoder feedback.  (500 CPR) I have learned through the mailing list that a
firmware update is coming which might include support for this.  Can you please
give me a realistic time frame so I can decide whether to wait or pursue
alternatives.  My project is due in April 2007.
