I'm still having a lot of trouble with speed control on my robot. I have a new one mostly done. I spent a huge amount of time on it during the week, but then have been extremely busy the last two days (including today), so I have not had time to fully debug it. Velocity control works, and I am just starting to debug position control. It will be a lot better than the original example. Are you under some kind of deadline, like a contest, or can you wait a couple more days? I have friends in town, so I would rather take the rest of the weekend off ;-). -Pete From plskeggs@noeticdesign.com Fri Nov 11 22:37:47 2005 Return-Path: Delivered-To: mailman-WheelWatcher@list.nubotics.com Received: (qmail 28521 invoked by alias); 11 Nov 2005 22:37:47 -0000 Delivered-To: wheelwatcher@nubotics.com Received: (qmail 28519 invoked from network); 11 Nov 2005 22:37:47 -0000 Received: from unknown (HELO ?127.0.0.1?) It now makes more stable position moves, and controls velocity pretty well. The code is also more readable (though compiles larger). Check it out here: http://www.nubotics.com/support/ww01/code/ccs_c/ww01_picc_square.c.php Also, the long-awaited WC-132 WheelCommander is now for sale at Acroname. Info: http://www.nubotics.com/products/wc132/index.html Buy: http://www.acroname.com/robotics/parts/R279-WC-132.html This differential drive motion controller includes code similar to the above example, and a whole lot more. A simple RS232 or I2C command set lets you set-and-forget the motion parameters for your robot while your main code handles sensors and behaviors.
