From plskeggs at noeticdesign.com Fri Dec 3 13:21:05 2004 From: plskeggs at noeticdesign.com (Pete Skeggs) Date: Fri Dec 3 13:21:09 2004 Subject: [WheelWatcher] New Products Coming Soon Message-ID: <41B0D8C1.2060008@noeticdesign.com> We have two new products to be released within a few weeks: - the new WW-02 WheelWatcher for Solarbotics GM-2, GM-3, GM-8, or GM-9 gearhead motors These nice, quiet, servo-like motors are sold by Solarbotics, Hobby Engineering, and soon Acroname; these are used with matching injection molded wheels very similar to the ones available for servos. - a new codewheel mounting system, the CS-040 Codewheel Spacer Developed as a result of strong demand, we've created this new mounting system. It allows you to use the WheelWatcher WW-01's codewheel sticker on a variety of wheels (from Budget Robotics or other vendors) or any mechanism that attaches to a servo with a servo control horn. Some drilling on your part is required, but the predrilled guide holes make it simple. And, coming in January, we will be shipping the new WC-116 WheelCommander, a revolutionary differential drive motor controller. Just plug in the two servos, the two WheelWatchers, power, and a TTL-level RS-232 or I2C connection to your main controller or PC, and all the complex closed loop motion control is taken care of for you. It also provides 7 analog inputs and 7 digital inputs or outputs. It works great with the Basic Stamp 2. Motion commands in either velocity and rate of rotation, or distance and angle of rotation are available. These are done in real world units after you configure the controller with wheel diameter and wheel base measurements. Sincerely, Nubotics Support
